Developing New Habits...

One of the biggest problems with sales training...




Not embedding properly & ensuring new behaviours become habit.



Imagine learning to drive when you were 18.



Your instructor gives you a couple of lessons.



And then they leave you to it.



The following day you go for a drive into town alone...



It's scary.



Your heart is racing.



Your spatial awareness is all over the place.



Why does driving seem so much faster when you're at the wheel?



You don't know when to change gear, how to use the clutch, or the best time to brake.



T-Junctions...


Roundabouts...



Your paranoia is setting in.



You're chugging along.



It seemed so much easier when your instructor was sat next to you...you could ask questions, check this, ask about that.



Anyway here you are & it's time to learn!



You pull up at a red light.



And then you stall the engine.



The lights turn green. 



You're sweating...but somehow you manage to restart it.



You're driving along, picking up speed, 20, 30mph..."OMG" 



...that black BMW behind you, driven by a guy in his 30s is getting very impatient & way too close...



and then you panic, hit the accelerator, and SMASH into the back of a bus. 



"WTF!!" 



Your car is a write-off.



The bus load of passengers are shaken up.



The driver comes out and curses you to high heaven.



The police turn up.



You tell yourself driving is too hard & that you'll never do it again...




You go back to riding your bike.



Yes it takes much longer.



And it's much more effort.



You won't be able to go as far.



You'll be reliant on other people.



But you don't care.



It's safer.



And at least you'll get there at some point... without any accidents.



Driving just wasn't for you.
