Sleazy pushy salesperson...

I received a sales call this morning -
Within a minute & before I had much of an idea what their 'amazing' piece of software did, the salesperson tried to force me into a time slot for a demo.
once...
twice...
...three times (a lady)
They tried shoving me into their calendar - against my will - six times in total.
"You need to stop trying to close me." I said. "Do you even know what I do?"
- they didn't.
"You know this approach really pisses buyers off right?"
- they went silent.
There's a sea of difference between being assertive and being pushy.
Unfortunately a lot of salespeople fall into the latter category - giving everyone in sales a bad name.
I tried to offer some friendly advice but I'm pretty sure it fell on deaf ears.
Of course it's tough out there - but that's all the more reason to refine your approach, and become more skilled as someone who knows how to communicate eloquently & effectively.
Always look at improving your EQ, self- awareness, your ability to read the room - and adjust accordingly
There's never been a more critical time to upskill.
