"We're now halfway through Q3 - how's everyone's quarter been so far?"
David (average salesperson): -
"It's shocking out there, it's like the world is in meltdown. Layoffs all over the place, budgets frozen, people panicking, I've never known anything like it!"
Lynsey (average salesperson): -
"I agree - I've never known it this bad. No one is taking my calls, my decisions out there are ghosting me...people battening down the hatches, it's like a deep recession has already started."
Joseph (top performer): -
"I've rewritten my cold outreach which connects to 3 macro issues - layoffs, instability & lack of resources - and depending on their situation I've re-framed each one as an untapped opportunity...the perfect storm to break away from the competition by implementing X, Y or Z.
People are highly emotional and looking for answers. This is what I've spent the past few weeks brainstorming & tapping into. It's really starting to pay dividends."
...George Bernard Shaw sums this up nicely in 'Man and Superman' : -
"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man."
