Two sales guys, John and David are having a chat:

I'm quite frankly scared of it. It's showing me up as a terrible salesperson. I can no longer use the excuse that it's hard to get hold of decision makers, because it's really not.

12 connects to CEOs yesterday and I realised just how out of my depth I am. I just seem to freeze and have no idea how to sound credible or engage them. They just chew me out then either hang up or ask me to send an email.

So I'm not strapping in again till I've got a better strategy. I'm going to read some sales books this weekend and I'm looking into sales training.

There's no way you'll get me hooked up to that platform again till I've got some idea of how to actually use it."

John:

"Haha fair enough - you sound traumatised! I'll clean up with this tech, my cold calling skills are second to none.

If I were you I'd get a move on with brushing up on yours - they'll be no food left on the table soon enough!"
