We all fell into sales...

I fell into sales...
That's pretty much 95% of salespeople.
I used to tell people I worked in fashion (my first job was selling space at a fashion trade show).
Since those early days I've come to realise a few things:
Sales is one of the most challenging, rewarding, fulfilling, and educational roles you could ever be in.
It teaches you infinite amounts about the world, different types of people, and about yourself.
It builds an inordinately strong character, and it requires courage, creativity, flexibility, a relentless work ethic and a healthy dose of humour.
When you rise to the level of a top performer you become:
- an expert in human psychology
- a master of emotional intelligence
- a leader of highly intelligent people
For all these reasons I love sales.
Which is exactly why I wouldn't ever want to work in any other industry, including fashion!
