1. The trainer doesn't practice what they preach
2. Traditional models are not aligned with how people actually learn
3. The training is not embedded properly
4. Telling someone the answer achieves little / getting someone to discover things for themselves achieves a lot
5. It often deals with symptoms of much deeper problems - i.e. how to handle objections vs why they come up in the first place
6. No understanding of the underlying psychology of human behaviour
7. No emphasis on emotional intelligence
8. What worked in the 80's doesn't work in 2023
9. Little to no interaction or role-play
10. Too boring - the best trainers bring creativity, energy & originality to fully immerse their audience which increases their capacity to learn
