8 ways to stop your sales meetings from feeling like an interrogation...

1 - Ask strong open ended questions & keep digging into responses with genuine curiosity. This will make it much more conversational.

2 - Stop thinking about your next 'perfect' question. This will stop you from being present & listening.

3 - Focus intently on what is both being said and unsaid - i.e. reading between the lines.

4 - Pause when you need to, give prospects the room to answer & don't fill silences for the sake of it.

5 - Ask permission to ask lots of questions before you do so. This helps to manage expectations & sets the right tone.

6 - Limit the number of 'process' or factual questions you ask - these can feel very low value for prospects.

7 - Make it clear why you're asking certain questions so that people understand where you're going.

8 - Get to the business problem quickly without spending too much time on the technical side.

This will help keep the conversation on track as it becomes clear where you're going.
