Email critique...

I receive a lot of emails like this
-----------------------------------------------------------------
"I hope you are well"
(*no you don't, please drop this)
"I didn't hear back from you regarding my last emails, so thought I'd nudge this to the top of your inbox."
(*all 4 of them...as all they did was talk about you & your company. So is it any wonder? 'Nudging' your 5th unanswered email to the top of my inbox is not a strategy)
"We still have some opportunities to exhibit & speak - and given the success of the last event, we have expanded the show to become the biggest ever!"
(*how amazing you are, what an event! But dare I ask...what's in it for me? (WIIFM) Who's the audience? Who do I target? What are my specific business problems?)
"I'd be happy to share the floorplan to show you which stands are available."
(*I'll bet you would - commission checks are just wonderful)
"To discuss booking, please contact me on the number below or email me, I look forward to hearing from you."
(*you'll be waiting a long time based on the self-serving nature of this email)
We've all been on the end of these types of emails, and yet they keep on coming!
I do wonder what the average conversion rate is...
