How's it hanging?

"Hi David - how's it hanging?"

"Err...yes fine"

From a training session earlier this week. This was the introduction made to a CEO taken from a live sales call.

Maybe it was nerves or an attempt at trying to build rapport, but I think this might have been a bit too casual for the head of a company!

I also got the impression David had never been asked that question before within his social circles.
