"I'D LOVE TO..."

"I'd love to jump on a demo to

show you how it works."

Of course they would...

This type of messaging & use of enthusiastic words like 'love' turns people off.

Why?

Because it's salesy.

It way too enthusiastic.

And out of context.

Of course you'd love to - who doesn't like making a nice fat commission check!

But this has the effect of 'warning' your prospect of the inevitable product pitch & feature dump.

It reeks of self-serving motivations.

You've sounded their alarm.

And the reptilian brain comes to your prospect's rescue...& the drawbridge pulls up.

No room at the Inn.

Things presented on a silver platter are, by definition, unattractive.

Whereas something you can just about catch a glimpse of...garners interest.

It has the effect of pulling people in.

Human beings are curious by nature.

They like a bit of intrigue...to then come on a bit of a journey to explore further.

As Andy Warhol said:

'The idea of waiting for something makes it more exciting.'

So the question becomes - how to create intrigue & curiosity without smothering prospects in off-putting enthusiasm.

That's where the hard work of thinking starts.

And it's a skill that's worth mastering.
