I'd love to jump on a demo with you!

"Hi Scott, I'd love to jump on a demo with you so you can see the power of our platform! Please book a time below as slots fill up quickly."
This is the equivalent of matching with someone on Tinder and saying:
"Hi there, I would love to take you out for dinner - you're going to really enjoy my chat! When are you available? My dating calendar fills up quickly, so book a time below."
No thank you.
It's a 'one size fits all' approach, almost always generic, and covered in artificial enthusiasm.
Of course you'd love to.
Earning commission is a pleasurable thing.
But overly enthusiastic behaviour without any real qualification conveys disingenuous intentions.
This is what causes sales resistance.
Know your prospect, ensure your approach is measured, and put a lid on getting carried away.
Speak like a normal human being.
Get out of sell mode.
Over the top, assumptive messages set off alarm bells in your buyer. Think about when you've been on the end of it. Massive turn-off.
It's fundamental human psychology. Putting everything on a plate for someone whilst assuming they'll be interested puts people off.
We're far more attracted to something when we realise we can't simply have it.
So aim to disqualify prospects you think may be a good fit.
Make sure a strict criteria is met before wasting your own time and that of your prospect's.
And stop going straight for the demo.
Your tinder match doesn't want to go straight to Nandos. Even if they do love chicken.
They want you get to know you a bit first.
So take a step back.
Refrain from the generic pushy outreach.
And stop expressing feelings of pure joy around the opportunity to sell your solution.
It's not how human beings communicate.
