Over the past 12 months it has led to:
- new partnerships
- new clients
- access to people I'd never have met otherwise
- new collaborative working relationships
- countless new ideas & perspectives
- podcasts (as both a guest & as a host)
- speaking slots at conferences
It has also allowed me to:
- help dozens of salespeople
- offer free advice to anyone struggling
- show alternative approaches to common problems
- share stories & experiences to open people's minds up to other possibilities
- help prevent people from making the same mistakes
By using this platform properly it should lead to a healthy balance of both a 'give' and a 'take' dynamic, as highlighted above.
In my opinion, the best way of achieving that is by posting regularly (with useful content, not just pictures of your new swanky offices) and by constructively interacting with other people's posts - without expecting anything in return.
The rest will follow.
What do you think?
