You did everything right...
You asked intelligent questions and made the conversation all about them.
You showed empathy.
You didn't go into 'pitch' mode or feature dump your solution.
You set clear expectations.
But they don't pay you the respect you deserve as a potential partner.
They don't respond when they said they would.
They make you go into 'chase' mode.
They treat you like a transactional vendor who should pander to their every whim.
So what do you do?
Easy...
You move on.
Do you really want to work with a client like that?
They will be very high maintenance.
They will cause you problems.
Save yourself the headache.
It's really not worth it.
