Stop Attaching to the Outcome

You write a LinkedIn post...

Then wait for likes & engagement.

The red bell goes off.

We're all human - a rush of dopamine feels good.

But this is attachment to outcome - something often talked about on LinkedIn.

And it will make you miserable.

'The root of all suffering is attachment.'

- Buddha.

Who cares if you get 3 likes or 3000?

Write whatever you feel from a place of honesty & curiousity.

If people respond - great.

And if they don't - so what?

No one will see it anyway.

That's the beauty of writing a post that doesn't seem to resonate.

And if it goes viral for the wrong reasons? (we've all seen those posts)

Hit delete.

Or, as Andy Warhol said, enjoy your 15 minutes of fame.

Just never attach yourself to 'likes' - that sugar rush of a dopamine hit.

It's a short-term high.

And terrible for your long-term well-being.
