They are NOT objections! They are rebuffs to get rid of you

So many posts on how to 'handle objections' on a cold call...
"I'm in a meeting"
"I'm not interested"
"Not a good time"
To clarify - these are NOT objections.
They are rebuffs or smokescreens to get rid of salespeople.
And they often occur on autopilot to protect prospects from obvious salespeople, who often lack finesse in their communication skills.
Their reptilian brain kicks into gear and the drawbridge comes up.
What do we say when we get a call from a number we don't recognise, where the person speaking sounds like a salesperson..?
...
You got it...any one of the rebuffs above.
So how do salespeople fix this problem?
By working on their intro...and more importantly their Tone.
You can say the wrong thing in the right way and get away with it...
But saying the right thing in the wrong way?
Now you have a problem.
And saying the wrong thing in the wrong way?
Sales is probably not for you.
If you speak using the correct tonality, with complete transparency, whilst managing expectations, there's much less chance you'll get any rebuffs at all.
How do you build trust quickly with a stranger?
By being upfront and honest.
And by speaking the words with absolute conviction.
This is one of the main keys to success in sales...
Your Tone.
You need to be congruent.
If not, you'll be sussed out pretty quickly.
So begin to master this and things will start to fall into place.
But how?
More to follow...
